The Scoutlink IRC network has many channels, or 'chat rooms', divided into different languages and age groups. Most people from the UK chat in either the #english channel or the #youth channel. If you want to see a complete list of channels, then just type /list.

About #english
The #english channel is for people of any age from any country who wish to speak English. We are lucky enough to have chatters from all over the world due to the amount of people worldwide that speak English. Each channel is looked after by channel operators (chanops) who can help you out with any questions, and help to keep the network safe by kicking any troublemakers from the channels. We also have irc operators (ircops) who can ban people from the server that are causing trouble. Each Country/Rejoin has a Country or Regional Coordinator (CC/RC). The UK CC is Roger Woods. About #youth
#youth is aimed at ages 6 to 21; although anyone may join as long as they are prepared to chat at a suitable level for that age range. #youth is run by the #youth-team who are members of the #youth community that have shown that they are trustworthy and responsible. The ScoutLink Global Youth Co-ordinator has overall responsibility for #youth and ensures that the #youth-team is running smoothly.
