what is the biggest fire that ppl have built and what did you use to build it?

When we went to Youlbury. we stuck a bit of pine tree in a fire an it up in flames really quickly (it was Wallace91's idea)

And when we went to Huish Woods, we made the burn box where we stuck a load of firelighters in a box and shoved it on the fire

Most of the fires we've built are fairly small, but I have seen some enormous ones built for bonfire night, as the dads and our Scout Leader Simon usually build it, and he's a pyromaniac. His slogan is 'burn it!!!'

The biggest fire I made had help from Chez (im naming names already )

It was in 2006 at Kingsnorth (a nature reserver than e.on is going to build a coal power plant ontop of half of it)

At the camp: chez, chalk, peter-kent, sheppeygirl, anklebiter (and me )

We were cutting down some trees....well ok a lot of trees.

We were getting rid of them in two ways.

1. Buiding a log cabin
2. Burn them!!! Burn them all!!!

2 was mutch more fun. Here are some photos.

Forgot to say what we made the fire out of.

Trees. Whole trees. Leaves and all.

Freshly cut so still got lots of water inside (hence lots of steam - see my second photo).

But when the trees dried out the flames from the fire we touching the high up branches of the trees above - so it was raining tiny burning leaves on us

oh - for the record. This is the camp I whent on after THE TRIBE 06 and my famous *BANG!*

Well maybe these aren't so big but we definitely go for serious heat!
