Welcome to the ScoutLink UK website. We are a branch of the global non-profit organisation known as ScoutLink, which connects Scouts and Guides all over the world using Internet Relay Chat (real time chatrooms). If you like to chat via voice, you can use our teamspeak service to chat using your microphone. To find out more about how to chat on both ScoutLink and Teamspeak, including a link to our webchat, please visit our 'How to Chat' page.
We are online 365 days a year, but our main event
is Jamboree on the Internet (3rd weekend in October every year).
Please register with us, using the nickname you intend to use on ScoutLink. This will enable you to post on our forum and make your own profile to be displayed in the user list (under Team Members).
As we are a Scout/Guide friendly network, we do have a set of rules that we expect people to follow. To check out the full list, take a look at our rules page in the left hand menu. All of our chatrooms are supervised by 'operators' (Scout and Guide leaders worldwide) who can give you help and advice, and who enforce our rules. If you'd like to meet the UK team, have a look at our team page!
We have regular IRL (in real life) events where members of ScoutLink meet up to go camping, or to other events. This includes a yearly Easter Camp in a different location in Europe every year, amongst other things. For details of upcoming events, see our Events page. For pictures of past ScoutLink events around the globe, take a look at our pictures page.
To join our Mailing List, click the link to the left, and then click 'how to join', which appears on the lefthand menu when you click the mailing list link. The mailing list provides you with information on upcoming elections for the UK team, and for camps and events organised by ScoutLink.
ScoutLink Worldwide has a necker/scarf and badge that anyone who uses ScoutLink is entitled to wear, so please visit our shop and have a look what's on sale!
To find out more about ScoutLink as a whole, visit the global website at www.scoutlink.net, or visit one of the country's websites at the bottom of the page!
